1) What is the "Fire of 46" in "After Death: Twenty Years?" 

Ans.  The terms, "Fire of 46" shows the day in 1946, Calcutta (now Kolkata) was plunged into horrific communal riots that lasted four days and claimed up to 10,000 lives. The communal riots and the killings, unparalleled in Kolkata's history, marked the beginning of what historian Suranjan Das termed as the 'Partition Riots' of Bengal.


2) What is the meaning of "The '47 Partition" in this poem? 

Ans. Partition was when Lord Mount Baten, the viceroy of India. Who has announced India's partition. Cyrill Radcliffe was ordered to partition. After that situation, it is ordered that Hindu and Sikh should to go to India, and Muslim to Pakistan.  In the situation, 1 million people were killed in riots. This was so pathetic. 


3) What is Madness in Lumbini? 

Ans. it is was a mental hospital of Kolkata where all the people were disrupted through this partion time. The poet is showing the men's life who were in this hospital. 


4) Why the poet use the language "Sonagachi"? 

Ans. Here, the poet is showing to those dog like man who goes to Sonagachi to fulfill their physical desires. He is showing here mainly to Ministers, leaders, teachers, writers, and  students who go there.
